We are a laid-back place the locals love! Come to Buddy’s bar-b-q in Sevierville for a taste of our East Tennessee BBQ tradition for over 50 years! Our restaurant is the perfect location for visitors to stop on the way in or out of the Smokies to grab a quick bite, Family Pack meal, or BBQ by the pound. We offer dine-in seating, patio dining, carryout, drive-thru, and online ordering of our fresh hickory-smoked BBQ, served with a side of Southern hospitality! Don't mistake us for "fast food"...we may serve it fast, but our BBQ is cooked low and slow onsite for over 10 hours! Plus, we use special family recipes for that unmistakable hometown flavor.

History
Buddy’s bar-b-q has a long local history. Our company has been serving local, hometown BBQ for 50+ years. It all began in 1972, when Carcel and LaMuriel Smothers decided to open a new barbecue restaurant in Knoxville. Since then, Buddy’s bar-b-q has found a collective recipe for success in our delicious, homestyle food and our focus on customer service. We’ve always prided ourselves on our ability to serve consistently good food and great portions for an affordable price, as well as our ability to always offer efficient and helpful service with a smile. Third generation Texan living in East Tennessee now. I’ve had the best BBQ and this is really good. I usually get the Pulled Pork Sandwich with slaw. Ribs are good too. The BBQ beans aren’t my favorite. Prices are the best around. The owner or manager comes around and greets everyone. T

We ordered the Feed 5 Chicken Meal from Buddy’s BBQ and it was perfect for a take-home family dinner. Our food was ready right when we arrived, and it came with everything we needed — plates, silverware, and plenty of BBQ sauce. The smoked chicken was excellent — juicy and full of flavor. The baked beans were tasty without being overly sweet, and the coleslaw had just the right amount of dressing, not heavy or soggy. Everything traveled well and fed our family easily. I’d definitely recommend this as a great pick-up meal to take back to your cabin if you’re visiting the area!
This BBQ joint is absolutely amazing!! We were recommended this by someone back home in St. Louis who has a BBQ restaurant of his own. The service and food were fantastic, and there was a giant dessert that was big enough for 4 of us to share and not even finish! Highly recommend Buddy's BBQ!
